Dear Keith McGuffey,
First off, you have an incredibly sexy name. It’s the name every king wishes they had. I can only assume that it is the same name the most prosperous ruler of Atlantis had.
Anywho, the reason I love being a geek is simple: I love learning. But since I don’t have the kind of brain that’s good at remembering things like scientific fact or basic life skills or my social security number, I have to absorb every last iota of knowledge on subjects like superheroes and retro video game trivia. By the way, did you know that Sonic the Hedgehog first appeared as an air freshener in a racing game? GOOGLE IT.
Anyway, armed with this knowledge, I like to spread my love of nerdy things (and also school kids who think they know more about Superman than me because they saw the last season of Smallville). And I’m always digging up new things. I’m like a comic book archeologist, which is much better than being a real archeologist. That involves way too much outdoor activity for a geek like me.
